Eleanor Baker

Eleanor Baker the English Subject Lead for the University of Oxford's Astrophoria Foundation Year, and the Stipendiary Lecturer in Old and Middle English at Balliol College for the 2024/5 academic year. Her research interests range around the late medieval period in England, and she is interested in Middle English literature (both devotional and secular), textual materiality, folk horror, and craft practices. Her first trade-press book, Book Curses, was published by Bodleian Library Publishing in November 2024. In her spare time she makes linocut prints inspired by late medieval literature and culture.
